:: Double Treat This Week ::

This week we have a double treat as I’ll be back at The Rubin Museum of Art on Friday from 6 til 10 pm and then at Corcho Wine Room on Saturday from 9pm til 2am.

Hope to see some of you there. The museum galleries are free on Fridays during my set, so take advantage of that.

:: K2 Lounge @ Rubin Museum of Art today ::

Every Friday night the Café at the Rubin Museum of Art becomes K2 Lounge, offering a special Pan Asian Tapas menu to accompany the evening’s DJ and unique thematic gallery tours and programs.

This week’s DJ is me, again, Don_Cerati, and I would love to see some familiar faces swing by for a drink or two and enjoy the beautiful art in the museum. Admission to the galeries is FREE from 6pm til 10pm, so take advantage of that.

I start at 6pm and go til 10…

:: Zeb’s ARABADUB @ Nublu In Outer Place ::

Nublu Jazz Fest NYC 2011

On Tuesday December 13th I’m back for more Nublu Jazz Fest NYC 2011. This time we’re traveling “EAST” as Zeb a.k.a. The Spy From Cairo a.k.a. The Pleb brings his ARABADUB to Nublu In Outer Place and I’ll be DJing before and in between his sets. ARABADUB goes on for 2 sets: 11pm and 1am.

What is ARABADUB? Well, is Zeb’s blend of two of his big passions: Arab and Dub music. His live sets consist of him playing live the Oud and using his computer and midi keyboard to trigger samples for an unforgettable musical experience.

I became a Zeb fan when I heard “The Circle” (Wonderwheel Recordings) for the first time in like ’05 in a CD compilation I got called “Oasis Lounge” so it’s an honor to be able to open for him and play in between his sets.

Here’s a taste of ARABADUB:
